Young People with MS

While many people think of MS as a disease that happens to older people, the fact is, young people can get MS too.

MS varies from person to person in terms of its symptoms and disease course. However, whether you are a child with MS, or someone much older, the symptoms of MS can be much the same. What is very different though, are the unique concerns related to the different times of life during which MS is experienced.

• Children with MS and their parents may need some information about how to manage MS at school, for instance.

• Teens with MS may also have concerns about school-life, as well as transitioning to college, university, or work-life.

• People in their 20s and 30s may be seeking information and support for managing MS as careers and families begin.
