Real talk. Real answers. Living with MS in your 20s and 30s.

Hear about the MS Society Scholarship Program with a special message from Aaron Solowoniuk.

The work of the MS Society that relates to the latter half of its mission – “enabling people affected by MS to enhance their quality of life” – is conducted by volunteers and staff in Client Services.

What does Client Services refer to?

The main, or primary, clients of the MS Society of Canada are people who are:

  • Living with a diagnosis of MS
  • Waiting for a diagnosis with respect to MS
  • Close to a person with MS, such as family and friends
  • Caregivers to a person with MS, who may also include family and friends

In addition to serving its primary clients, MS Society volunteers and staff also provide information and support to health professionals, employers, institutions and students.

Based upon needs and available resources, the MS Society of Canada’s units, chapters, divisions, and national office provide Client Services that encompass:

  • Information and referral
  • Supportive counselling
  • Support and self-help groups
  • Recreation and social programs
  • Financial assistance
  • Education
  • Advocating for yourself

Our goal in Client Services is: “To provide programs and services to those affected by multiple sclerosis to achieve the highest possible quality of life while living with the daily challenges that MS presents.”

The MS Society is ready to offer as much or as little help as you may need within its range of services. Contact your local MS Society chapter or one of the division offices. Visit In Your Community to find the nearest MS Society office.
